Inspiring! In a world full of fast food, technology, smart phones, iPads, computers and video games, I believe it is important to encourage and inspire people to express themselves creatively and most importantly to have some FUN! Afterall, life is serious enough as it is don’t you think. This is my mission at Musical Kite String, inspiring musicians and for those that love to sing! The mid-year concert is all about my students having an opportunity to have some fun and express themselves in a supportive environment. Gaining invaluable performing experience. The performances were held at the Rosina Auditorium at Abottsford Convent in Collingwood, performances ran in 2 sets (4 students each) with a short break in between where a raffle was held handing out prizes such as iTunes vouchers, $65 Hair Dressing voucher, Hoyts Movie Tix, fresh Coffee Beans and a bottle of wine for the over 18s. Thank you Emani Hair, Charlotte's Corner Cafe, Di & Ron for your donations and support towards the event, your contributions made it all the better an evening for our audience and performers. I also want to thank the talented group of individuals whom I love working with every week, I am very lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people and very proud of their individual achievements. There are always improvements that can be made and we will look at implementing for our end of year performance, as we'd like to have got a recording of everyone's performance for them to take home. Overall everyone really enjoyed themselves being the 2nd concert to be held I In saying that we have a snippet one of our audience members recorded on their little camera, of the finale. After I presented our performers with their medals of achievement we finished the evening with a little bit of New York, New York where I encouraged the crowd to participate and have some fun. Hope you enjoy! |
